Mansergh Graham was commissioned by Meridian Energy Ltd, to undertake a detailed assessment of the effects of the proposed Mill Creek windfarm on the amenity values of the surrounding landscape and prepare evidence for the Environment Court.
Using GIS analysis, Mansergh Graham was able to calculate the extent of visibility for each turbine from surrounding locations.
The project included:
- GIS viewshed analysis and the identification of potentially affected populations.
- Assessment of landscape, visual and amenity effects.
- Consultation with potentially affected landowners.
- Presentation of expert evidence at the Environment Court.
